I have used some drugstore, CVS brands in my early-mid teens.
I truly can say they didn't do anything at all! Really, if you look carefully through ingredient lists you'll see that the ';pheromones'; are very, very low on the list--there's not much in the product, and who knows if it's engineered to attract plants or men?
Sadly, as much as I'd like to say they work, I don't feel they do. I have a lot of experience with natural oils and schooling in natural health--in all honesty, you'd get better results from researching essential oils that have supposed-aphrodisiac-like properties. A search engine would give you good results.
Jasmine and ylang ylang are two lovely ones. Men seem to respond to jasmine while in general women are made frisky by sniffing ylang.
Vanilla is also universally good.
