Why are certain well known perfumes so affordable?

Im from Australia and it seems as though Revlon perfumes like Charlie and Fire%26amp;Ice are rather affordable, suprisingly Vanderbilt is affordable as well considering its well known name and all, does anyone know why?Why are certain well known perfumes so affordable?
My other half used to work in a perfumerie so I know rather more than a normal man about this subject!





It is quite simple basically. She has told me that a lot of brands stop bothering to try to make decent perfumes once they are well known because they know that they'll sell anyway.





Then the brand just lowers the price because they are mass producing it to ensure that they keep selling lots and lots of it.





My gf says that these are not generally worthwhile but it depends on how it works with your natural odour!
