When are fashion campaigns and perfumes photographed?

I was just wondering when are Fall/Winter or Spring/Summer campains for big designers eg. Dolce%26amp;Gabbana or Dior, photographed because they obviously have to be shot in advance.


And when they do an ad for perfume, does that be taken at the same time or differently, because perfumes get released all the time.

I was involved in a perfume campaign about 3 years ago and we shot in June. The session was completed nearly a year before the perfume was released. (Nobody is super tired or complaining to go home because of a cold June. I was in the desert. )





I suspect July and August are also popular with fashion and perfume because of the long light of day and the fact that nobody is shivering or complaining that it is cold.
